Oil Painting
Internationally renown artist, Ezra Tucker, has created some of America’s most enduring images over the past two and a half decades. The mass market appeal
for Ezra’s artwork has been recognized through numerous gold medals and his extensive and prestigious commercial and private clients. Mr. Tucker’s original artworks are included in many major corporate and private collections.

Ezra’s career as a Commercial Artist/Illustrator has facilitated his working with individuals and corporations to conceptualize and execute artwork that convey a myriad of messages from the subtle to bold striking imagery. Devotion to creatively explore ideas with clients has resulted in images that capture a viewer’s imagination in exotic lands, myth, legend, or adventure to promote and sell products. Ezra describes his versatile style as “Nouveau Victorian Realism” where people, animals, and landscapes are realistically depicted in fantastic settings, reminiscent of Victorian period painters.

Among Ezra’s most recognizable subjects are the animals, particularly horses, he has painted for both commercial and private commissions. Mr. Tucker was honored to be selected to illustrate a children’s book of horses “Album of Horses”, written by the world renowned author on horses, Marguerite Henry. He has also illustrated many books including Star Wars “Dark Forces—Rebel Agent”, and Cheryl Ladd’s children’s book “The Adventures of Little Nettle Windship”.

Mr. Tucker’s distinctive style has been selected for exhibition at the 1982 World’s fair in Knoxville, Tennessee; the Kentucky Center in Washington, D.C; the Texas Rangers Historical Museum in Austin, TX; the Canton Museum of Art in Canton, OH; the Bruce Watkins Center in Kansas City, Missouri; and a one man show at the Art Institute of Southern California in Laguna Beach, California. He has won gold and silver medals for his work displayed in both the New York and Los Angeles Society of illustrators shows. Ezra is a long-term member of the Graphic Artist Guild and the Society of Illustrators.

Mr. Tucker is a graduate of the Memphis Academy of Arts where he earned a BFA in Advertising Design. Ezra is a father of three children and he has lived with his wife of twenty years in picturesque settings in California and more recently, Colorado.
