Hollis Williford, a native Texan, began his study of art at the University of Texas at Arlington and finished with a degree from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles.
After a successful illustration career in California, Hollis left for Denver in 1971 to pursue new avenues of art as well as to be closer to the outdoor lifestyle he put on hold during the California years.
His works are to be found in institutions, corporations and international private collections, including the Gilcrease Museum, the Genesee Country Museum, the Cowboy Hall of Fame, the Lacrosse Hall of Fame, the Whitney Gallery of Western Art, the Vail Public Library and the Denver Art Museum. |
