ARTIST'S RETREAT Hahns Peak Village |

CLICK ABOVE TO SEE PHOTOS OF INTERIOR The "Artist's Retreat" cabin is located 27 miles north of Steamboat Springs in Historic Hahns Peak Village. The view from the front porch is directly at Hahns Peak mountain. Historic Hahns Peak Village is an old gold mining town which was the center of activity for all of northwestern Colorado during the late 1800's. It was the location of the courthouse, jail, hotel, saloon and many miner's cabins. Today it is a quaint little village with many of the old cabins, the old one room schoolhouse (which is on the National Register) and the Museum. Hahns Peak Village is directly across from Steamboat Lake State Park and borders Routt National Forest. There are restaurants, stables, marina and many hiking/biking trails in the area. The Artist's Retreat is right in the middle of the Village at 61395 Main Street. It is a charming 3-bedroom, 1-bath log cabin with a wonderful rock fireplace. The downstairs consists of the living room, kitchen, bathroom, small bedroom and the back porch/laundry room. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, and lots of cupboards with a view out the window up the hill to an aspen grove. The pantry and back porch/laundry room has a stack unit washer/dryer. Upstairs are two bedrooms. There is a small porch at the front of the house and a patio area with Barbeque out the back door. Landscaping includes perennial wildflowers, lawn and a berm by the driveway with aspen and spruce for privacy in the back yard. There is a small view of Steamboat Lake out the back of the lot.
